Once you've got the part, you need to know the technical aspects of being an actor so that you will be cast AGAIN!
This two-part class will teach you:

Making each take editable while keeping it organic

The continuity process and how an actor can make or break an edit

Taking a director's adjustments

Knowing "where the light is"

Camera awareness

Hitting the mark

Getting the best audio
-
ADR
-
Set etiquette to avoid looking like a newbie!
This will be a PRACTICAL class and not just theory.
You will be doing scenes and getting tutorials from a director and an editor.

Nyk Fry
Director and Editor
Nyk Fry is a 35+ year film professional whose cinematography, audio, post-production sound, musical talents, prop building, acting, and graphics skills have contributed to the success of the hundreds of projects he's worked on. Born in Boston, Nyk was raised in the UK, where he acquired his strange pronunciation of the word "water."
Through the years, Nyk has been involved with films, TV shows, musical recordings, podcasts, etc...but one of his most satisfying gigs was traveling around the world with Air Supply recording their concerts and taking stills and video of their performances.

Catrine McGregor
Producer and Casting Director
Catrine McGregor is an award-winning producer and casting director whose career spans almost forty years and projects ranging from feature films to TV shows to IMAX movies to interactive video games. Catrine began her career at Disney Studios after receiving her dual Master’s Degrees and Film/TV and Education from Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles. She went on to work on Warner Brothers projects as well as many independent films as a producer and casting director.
As a producer, Catrine is a sought-after creative presence, lending an eye to the casting, and her extensive experience in schedule, budget and crew management. Three of the five Tex Murphy video games that she produced won CODiE Awards, the gaming equivalent of an Oscar. McGregor holds several other awards for her writing, casting, and producing, including Best Dramatic Film for 3 of a Kind at Houston Worldfest.
